The baby brother of the ‘Up To The Lake’ route, this ride allows you to circumnavigate Llyn Brenig, a large man made reservoir. With its start point at the visitor centre cups of tea and cakes are never too far away. The route over the dam wall and around the shore line provides that wilderness feeling, whilst not having to endure the long climbs and difficult terrain to get there. Certainly one for all the family with only one noticeable climb.

This short, meandering route through the forest is perfect for the family. With ample parking and toilet facilities at the start point. This area of the forest is one of the last strong holds of the Red Squirrel and is popular with many other animals and birds such as the otter, green finch and wood peckers. This really is one of the most pleasant areas of Clocaenog forest, and after the bike ride why not enjoy a picnic by the lake.
